Earlier this year I visited a bakery in Newport Beach, CA and fell in love with the organic design and typography of the place. Hand-drawn menus, table cards, chalkboards, and wall quotes surrounded the charming spot. It inspired me to create a new font family based on the combination of hand drawn fonts. Included in this package are 5 font families, with 2 graphic ornament fonts. Each font family contains at least a light, medium and bold.

Lulo from Yellow Design Studio is a textured, retro, amazingly 3-dimensional font family. Endless effects can be created by adding different colors to each of the 5 stackable layers. Lulo is all-caps, and has subtle texture variation between the upper and lowercase characters so duplicate distressing in double-letters can be avoided. Other features include regular and bold weights, high-resolution texture that looks great even at large sizes, and extensive language support.

Because of its complex outlines, Lulo may process slowly in some applications.

Eveleth from Yellow Design Studio is a premium high-resolution letterpress family with exceptional realism and vintage charm. It features 3 different sub-families each with its own unique printed texture. Each sub-family offers six distress options per letter and 3 options for all other characters allowing incredible control and customization. Bonus “spurs” have been included in every weight to add retro flair. Other features include a complimentary Thin weight, a shadow layer, a set of funky icons, a collection of useful shapes and emblems, and clean (non-distressed) versions.

Brenta is a crisp typeface with open counters and compact proportions, its name referring to a range of mountains in northern Italy. Like its namesake, Brenta is characterized by sharp-edged and sturdy forms, but also by its clarity and elegance. Strong serifs, flat and bold shoulders and open terminals pronounce the horizontal and help to guide the eye along the line. Very fine junctures keep the characters sharply defined and create dynamic light traps.
